After our dreamy apartment booking was cancelled by our poorly organised host just TWO WEEKS before we arrived in Stockholm, it was a bit of a sprint to find a hotel that would live up to our (already high) interior expectations. After minimal deliberation and lack of time I booked a hotel without giving my usual trip advisor/all over inspection (eugh-I know). Despite the rushed decision  Elite Eden Park Hotel truly delivered. Every aspect from the lounge area to the concierge team was ideal (I mean look at that marble staircase..). Location-wise - everything was on our doorstep, including the world renowned shopping district Biblioteksgatan. I'm already eyeing up flights to return ASAP.

Bright & Early

Nothing beats a morning walk watching the sun rise... Also check out my Golden lab Hunny making her blogging debut. Wearing a 3.5 inch heel may not be the most appropriate dog walking attire but who cares. Links to my outfit details are below with a few of the items now being heavily reduced!!!!!!

Gift Guide - for Him

I wish I could say that males are easy to buy for.. but I'm wrong. The men around me tend to be fussy creatures and when asking for gift inspiration they either grunt and ask for the true detective box set or will have a lengthily list full of items that are wayyyy out of my budget e.g. 'For Christmas I'd happily settle for a Ferrari'...*sigh* So I've tried to get into the 20 something's male mindframe and consider what they would appreciate to receive (tbh I'd happily receive any of these myself - which may be where the problem lies). Nevertheless, here's my quick Gift Guide featuring a range of products at various price points. All products have a clickable link below so feel free to shop away! Christmas is just around the corner.

for Him

Whistles Wool Sweater, ASOS Silver Cuff, Acne Studios Cardholder, French Connection Scarf, Tommy Hilfiger Socks, Mondaine Watch, Aesop Bodycarei-D Magazine Subscription, Prada Luna Rossa AftershaveCOMME DES GARÇONS Sleeve, Hudson Chelsea Boots

As you can probably note from my Instagram I have a major love for delicate jewellery. So after receiving a very kind email from Estella Bartlett I was v excited to collaborate. I've been a massive fan of their dainty, whimsical pieces for a few years now, and after wasting money on cheap high street jewellery (wearing them once to see my fingers turn green) I now believe it is always best to spend a little more on better quality pieces that will last longer. How beautiful is this sterling silver vintage plait ring - In love! I've added a clickable link to their new super cute e-commerce site: EstellaBartlett.com it's definitely worth a look at especially knowing Christmas is just around the corner (the longer length sterling silver wishbone necklace is on my wish list to Father Christmas).

I picked up the Chanel Le Vernis in 'Ballerina' whilst black friday shopping over the weekend. After much deliberating i'm so glad I purchased because it's the perfect sheer. Simple, sophisticated and easy to layer up to reach an array of desired finishes (plus the subtle colouring goes with almost every outfit in my wardobe - win win).

Boxy sweaters, culottes & barely there heels

Dissertation stress is UNREALLL
so here are a few pics of me running away from my problems. Just kidding.
My beloved Zara jumper is back out to play, i'm really into navy this year, still understated but has a 'lift' that black cannot offer. These Boohoo culottes have a elasticated waist and are litro the comfiest bottoms I own. In this post i'm also steering clear of trainers and pairing my outfit with these Missguided barely there heels to create a slightly more elegant feel.
P.S. How beaut is my new watch. I treated my boyf to a Larsson & Jennings last year and ever since have been dreaming of having my own. I'm attempting to fill my gap of desire with this ASOS silver mesh and rose gold timepiece. With its minimal, clean design and use of mixed metals at £22 (plus student discount) this piece was the perfect steal.

3 reasons you NEED to visit Budapest

1. Ruin Bars

The raw, up cycled, overgrown visuals of the ruin bars in Budapest gives the city by night an artsy, underground vibe. With little signage or noise from outside the bars, stumbling across them gives a mysterious edge. Cocktails tended to be cheaper than water so of course it would have been rude not to have taken advantage.

2. Food

With restaurants serving anything from Hungarian goulash to smoked salmon, sticky rice & pea puree, the food we experienced in Budapest was most definitely a 10/10 taking presentation, price, service and of course taste into consideration.

3. Architecture

The Roman and Gothic style architecture displayed throughout the city was super dreamy, making it the perfect backdrop for some #ootd snaps, as well as making mooching in and out the shops extra aesthetically pleasing. We stayed at The Magazine Hotel which is situated on the majestic St. Stephens square with views of the Basilica and ruin bars from select rooms. The stairs leading to the hotel reception are rustic and contrast perfectly with the contemporary, urban finish of the hotel. The stylish rooms and glossy grey bathrooms were perfect for our girly long weekend away - I would most certainly recommend!

Visit number 2 is most definitely on the cards for 2016 as there was so much more to see.
